ABOUT ME

Jason Machowsky, MS, RD, CSSD, CEP, CSCS

I am a board certified sports dietitian and registered clinical exercise physiologist who specializes in working with people post-rehab to return to sports, training or daily activities.  I also specialize in nutrition and exercise guidance for those looking to maintain bone health.  


In my 16+ year career - including 10 at Hospital for Special Surgery - I have provided nutrition and training guidance to individuals encompassing a broad range of ages, exercise experience, injury history, sport and recreation.

A few other interesting tidbits:

  • Serve as a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sports Dietitian Registry

  • Provided sports nutrition services for two D1 NCAA schools as Instructor of the Sports Nutrition Practicum at Teachers College

  • Presented on nutrition for endurance athletes and athletic recovery regionally and nationally including events for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American College of Sports Medicine, and the NYC Marathon Expo.

  • Reviewer for the “Nutrition and Rehabilitation” section of the Sports Nutrition Care Manual published by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

  • Past President of the Greater New York Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine.

  • Masters of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from the Teachers College at Columbia University.
